This week we lost a very special man – Marty Napoli. Marty was our Honorary Chairman of Medinah Patriot Day Golf Event and was always affectionately referred to as “The Mayor of Medinah.” Marty was the founder and President of Napco Steel. He loved his family very much. Our thoughts are with his wife Teena of 45 years, his children MJ and Jason (Rachel), and his two grandchildren who he loved spending time with more than anything in this world.
There was nothing Marty Napoli wouldn’t do for a veteran and their family. He was with us from day one when we decided to start Illinois Patriot Education Fund and was instrumental in shaping Medinah Patriot Day into the event that it is today.
Marty lived a very rich and full life – filled with many friends and adventures. We were blessed to have known him in our lives. Marty was “one of a kind” and made everyone feel like they were a part of his family. He dedicated an enormous amount of time helping and mentoring others. So in that spirit, we hope today and throughout this Easter weekend you will stop and reflect on Marty’s life by performing some small act of kindness for family, friend, or stranger in an effort to pay forward the good energy and special life of Mr. Marty Napoli.
